1967 restored MGB with matching original engine and color! NOW SOLD!

We are excited to offer this 1967 MGB Tourer for sale. This is a later 67 B (built on the 22nd and 23rd of September 1967, per the Heritage Certificate) and thus was among the first cars to be shipped to the USA with back-up lights. This is the last of the best Bs, with chrome bumpers and a metal dashboard. The less attractive padded dash model come out in 1968, which also marked the dawn of less sexy “safety” octagon knock-off spinners, additional reflectors and more. Here we have cleaner lines and much more attractive vintage two-earned knock offs, correct for the car.

We’ve just installed a pair of new front lever shocks and aligned the front end, to further prepare this great car for a new home. And check out the driving video shown below!

I have a particular soft spot in my heart for this vintage of MGB as my first car was a 1966 B. Here’s a picture of me in that car with my sister back in the 70s. So when this one came along as a trade-in recently, I jumped. This is a particularly special color combination of black and deep red– always a knock-out. The chrome wheels are also quite striking. Top is brand new. New leather seats are beautifully restored with contrasting piping. Carpet is also new. Trunk is fit with an aftermarket carpet kit for a more finished look.

The included Heritage certificate validates that this is the correct original five-main bearing 18GB engine that came with this car, another big plus. The car has a non-synchro first gear original four speed non-overdrive gear box. This car drives great, the engine is very clean and rebuilt, not many miles were put on the car since restoration. She was converted to a single 12 volt battery from the factory twin six volts, and while not authentic, it’s a lot more convenient with fewer connections to fail. This is a popular upgrade that I have in my own personal 67 MGB. The original electric fuel pump was converted to a solid state fuel pump with no points to fail. This is another good reliability upgrade. New fuel tank, exhaust system and master and slave cylinders. An upgraded gear reduction starter has also been fit.

The car drives great.

Stunning 1972 TR6 for sale

Sometimes we are lucky to get cars from the ideal seller and this TR6 is such a car. It’s awfully close to perfect, as far as I am concerned, and we are lucky to have this one to offer for sale.

What makes a perfect car? We can drive it out of the trailer without fear of getting stranded. We can photograph it when it arrives without concern, surprises or failed expectations. In fact everything about this car exceeded my expectation. It’s that good.

Many thanks are due to the prior owner, who was meticulous with this car and who sweated the details so that the new owner won’t have to. The leather seats are perfect. The upgraded burl wood dash is stunning. Everything is super clean. The engine bay is concours quality. If you are the kind of person who wants the best example of a particular marque, this car is for you.

It is a delight to drive and needs nothing, except maybe a tonneau (that’s a boot cover in the trunk). Dynamat is installed throughout for quiet. Coker red line tires are nearly new. A USB cable is hidden in the glove box so you can connect. An emergency hood release hangs in the passenger footwell in the unlikely event that the hood release cable should fail. And most importantly, a Toyota five-speed was installed. The car shifts beautifully on a gear box that will outlive us all… no more electric overdrive! (with more moving parts than the entire car)!

1971 Classic Mini 1000 unmolested time-capsule for sale!

SOLD and heading to Guy in Hawaii! He bought our red Bugeye Petey, and we shipped it to Oahu via San Diego. Now this cool Mini will travel the same route!

This is an incredibly clean and unmolested 1971 Mini 1000, originally from Canada. It’s complete, mostly original, and looks pretty much like the day it came off the showroom floor. The paint is excellent and the color screams 1971. It’s a delight to drive and feels like a low mileage car (very tight and solid). Indicated miles were about 52,000 when we got the car. We did have to change the speedo which was reading way too high and the new correct 1971 replacement reads 80,000 (but now it works properly). I believe this to be a true 50k mile car based on overall condition and ride quality. Transmission is the correct original all-syncho four speed.

Unlike so many of these cars which have been molested, this one has a huge amount of integrity and feels like 1971 through and through. It’s rust free, runs great, drives great and looks great. The interior light works. The flashers work. The rear window heater works. Everything works, it’s an assemblage of early 70s British engineering that puts a smile on anyone’s face.

We’ve recently gone through the car and serviced the brakes and rebuilt the front end. A prior owner added a wonderful upgraded aluminum radiator. He also changed the rear subframe, which did have some rust, and the new one is perfect.

Correct ten inch tires are recent and in great shape. It’s missing one door pull, and we have the correct one on order. Other than that, the car is in excellent shape. this is a keeper, a time-capsule car. Price is $17,995.

The classic Mini market appreciates accuracy, in fact, a ratty but correct 60s Mini Cooper S just sold for $43,000. This car is another very correct vehicle for a lot less than half that money. This classic car is for a collector who wants something special. It’s also a simple and accessible left hand drive classic that can also be a fun daily driver for anyone in the family, without worry.

Striking 1955 Austin Healey 100, former Concours competitor

This is my personal 1955 100 and a great car ready for a new owner. I purchased it in 2011 with the intention of keeping it forever, I love these cars that much… but I am not using it and it’s time for this classic to go to a new home. In my time of ownership, I have made it better, with the addition of electronic ignition and a sleeved rebuilt brake master cylinder, to improve reliability of the brakes and engine. We have serviced everything else, including brake wheel cylinders and oil, as needed. I have exercised it regularly but used it very little. It it was prepared for national concours events so it is quite well detailed and accurate. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Restored 1968 Morris Mini Cooper S, now SOLD!

I’ve been using this wonderful Cooper for errands and it’s exceptionally fast, great fun and ready for a new home! This Mini will smoke any stock 1275 Bugeye. It’s that quick!

This is a Mark 2 Mini with a Cooper S engine. We got the car from a restorer in Kentucky, freshly painted in a non-stock but stunning metallic royal blue with all the floor and trunk welding complete. It’s completely rust free. We assembled the car and completed the restoration. The interior is really nice and the new two-stage paint shines beautifully!

Most importantly, this car screams! Header and 1.5 inch (larger) twin SU carbs are fit, and the car pulls very nicely. Idle is smooth, this is a very street-friendly car that’s quite user-friendly and easy to drive. Front disk brakes stop the car extremely well. This one puts a smile on my face with every shift! This is a very clean and quick Mini that’s tons of fun.

Recent 145 sr 10 Khumho tires are fit, with surprisingly good grip and a very correct look. Oil pressure and temperature is excellent-I have posted a picture that shows great oil pressure at about 55 MPH/3000 RPM with a warm engine, and the temperature right where you want to see it. The 1275s engine is very strong. A fully synchronized four-speed transmission (1968 would be the first year for a fully synchronized gearbox) is also a dream, with great synchros and smooth shifting. Hydraulics are all new. Ride quality is quite nice on an original hydrolastic system.
