I love MGAs, and we have had many of them. They are a great value, and they look like a million bucks. They’re bigger than a Bugeye with more “classic” than “cuteness” appeal.

This is a really nice one to own. It has lived since 1976 in dry South Carolina and it shows. The frame shows no rust, and the rockers are excellent. This car is solid and sound. It was re-painted once in 1982, and the finish is still holding up quite nicely. The car received a complete mechanical upgrade recently, with a rebuilt engine, new steering rack, new clutch slave cylinder, new rear wheel cylinders and all new hoses. Receipts are included.

The car has been driven very little in the last 10 or so years, with just 500 miles since the major mechanical restoration. The top is quite good, as are the side curtains and tonneau.

Anyone can jump into this car and go. The transmission is in excellent shape, with great synchros and no up or downshifting issues.

Tires and exhaust are older, and the new owner may choose to have us upgrade these before the car departs. Still, it’s a great car to drive, with just a few minor cosmetic flaws, quite natural for a car of this vintage.

Call to discuss… we have kept the price down to acknowledge it’s not a fresh cosmetic restoration, but by the same token, this is a strong running car with thousands recently invested in an engine rebuild and it has all its weather gear, a 1600 engine and disk brakes which make this one of the more desirable of the MGA series. Drive this car anywhere, with no apologies. It’s perfect for anyone who wants shiny and sexy classic car for under $20k that you don’t have to be afraid to drive. This car will turn heads everywhere!

I just love the MGB GT. I have one in my little collection… the hatchback allows me to carry my bicycle in the back and the car looks like a baby Aston Martin, for several hundred thousand dollars less. These cars remain one of the best values in collectible cars ever. These chrome bumper cars still look very vintage, and they will elevate just about anyone’s image. You can have this well-sorted example for just $12,995.

This particular car is just about perfect in my book. The rust has been cut out, new metal was welded in place, the car has been repainted in the correct color, the seats were replaced with new leather ones and the steering wheel is uprated. The dash is excellent. The whole car is excellent. The air filters are improved lifetime K and N brand and the car runs nicely. Tube shocks are present in the back, and on this car, that’s a nice upgrade from the original lever shocks. A lifetime stainless steel exhaust system has been fit. Relays have been added for the headlights to reduce the load on the the headlight switch, a nice way to upgrade the electrical system on these cars. There is a large file of receipts for work done by others.

It’s ready to drive anywhere.

The car sports its original 1800 engine and four speed fully synchronized transmission. A single 12 volt battery has been fit in one of the lockers to replace the six volt batteries that would have come with the car.( a common upgrade). Stainless steel exhaust has been fit, as have new front springs, poly bushings and (I believe) a slightly larger sway bar because the handling is great. Headlight relays have also been fit, a great electrical system upgrade.

The interior is quite nice, I will get more photos next week in better light to showcase the condition.

1974 was the last year for chrome bumpers, in fact, late ’74 cars were changed completely to the taller rubber bumper style (or lack thereof).

It is not immaculate, the car has been driven… it is not a recent rotisserie restoration. Instead it’s a solid car that looks great and that you could make your daily driver and actually get where you are going. This is the one car I would own if I wanted an inexpensive sports car I had to live with day in and day out. Shows 32,045 miles on the clock.

Wow, what a fast-paced ride!

We never imagined when we started Bugeyeguy in 2007 that we would sell 207 Bugeyes in the next ten years (which we believe to be more than anyone has ever sold). Or that we would become a national service center with cars coming to us from all over the country for upgrades and modifications. Or that we would build Caitlyn Jenner’s Bugeye, perhaps the most publicized Sprite in modern times. Our national gold concours car was perhaps the most difficult and fulfilling project. Another killer deal-this is a complete kit with all the hard body work and rust repair complete. Thousands were spent upgrading the front brakes to disk and laying-on an excellent paint job. This is a fun project ready to ship. If you are looking for a mechanical assembly project, this is worth serious consideration, with all the dirty grinding, sanding and bodywork already done, and done well!

I never get tired of looking at the unique shape of the 1800, I love the rear fins and the lines of this car. There’s nothing quite like it anywhere on the road. This is a lot of classic for the money. It runs beautifully with fuel injection, the overdrive works every time and this car looks fantastic in British Racing Green. I am seeing great sale numbers on these cars in the marketplace but more importantly, I can’t believe the market for these will ever go down, so here’s a chance to own a very interesting car with minimal (if any) downside, and great potential upside.
