I don’t know the folks who composed this song and video, but I love the way they capture what I call “Life with Bugeye.” And we had a cameo… you can see ten cars for sale in front of our shop in the video!
For everyone with a Bugeye fantasy (or a fantasy that includes a Bugeye?) here’s the ultimate music video. The Bugeye in the video is not one of ours, and I couldn’t help but notice the blue smoke when our new favorite heroine Roxanna pours on the coals at 2:37. Hot romance will make any Bugeye burn some oil!
We are tuning up our website this week and have a few classic posts from about ten years ago. This one caught my attention and is well worth another view!
My first car was a 1966 MGB and I remember sitting in the driveway in that car, even though the engine was all apart in our garage, and imagining what it would be like to drive it. Perhaps that’s how I ended up shooting so many videos of British cars today, all courtesy of that 1966 B that sat in my parent’s driveway for about a year while the 16 year old me learned how to rebuild the engine.
One of the things I love about bringing old British cars back to life is facilitating the kind of experience you see in the video below. We have prepared many Bugeyes as gifts. Many of our customers buy a Bugeye to remember special times in their lives, and to keep those memories alive. It’s a privilege to play a role in that process.
Top-up Bugeye driving is a great way to enjoy your Bugeye during the frigid winter months (when there’s no salt on the roads, of course). One issue this creates is visibility out of the back of your Bugeye. Standard bugeye rear-view mirrors have a short stalk on them, which is fine for open-cockpit drives; however, this means the mirror is basically pointing at the piece of vinyl below the rear window of a soft top, reducing your rearward visibility by half or more. Luckily, we have discovered a solution that will make your top-up Bugeye excursions a little more safe!
Our NEW adjustable dashboard rear-view mirror has a telescoping, extra-long neck that allows it to be adjusted so it is looking out of just the rear window, increasing visibility and peace of mind! Watch the video above for more information, and click the photo below (or here) to order yours today! Should you like the look and convenience of a more modern stick-on rear view mirror with day/night functionality, we have those available below, as well. Click here for our full catalog!

As change in the world continues to accelerate, I appreciate this photo that much more. I bet many of you feel the same way, and so I thought I would share this great image with you!
We have recently sold our 400th Bugeye (we’re already up to 401). That means there are (more than) 400 unique Bugeye ownership stories that have helped us get to this tremendous milestone! Here are two of those stories about our great customers, the heros who got us to 400 Bugeyes sold!
Sue from Colorado wrote us recently to share her recent experiences with “Blinkie”. She writes: “My husband bought a beautiful 1959 Bugeye (Primrose) from you in 2016 for my 30th anniversary gift. ‘Blinkie’ has been my joy as part of the British Motoring Club of Northern Colorado. Runs GREAT and is always a big hit wherever we go! Earlier this year, Blinkie won “Best Euro” at the 13th Annual Aims Car Show in Greeley, Colorado. Thanks for all you do keeping Bugeyes on the road!”
Thank you for sharing this awesome news with us, Sue! Thank you for being a part of the Bugeyeguys family!
Chris has Bugeye #393 (“Sawyer”) that he has adopted with gusto! His famous quote: “I had a Porsche 911 for 12 years, and I have had more fun in the first 12 days with my Bugeye then I did in all 12 of those years of 911 ownership!” Bravo, Chris, and thanks for being one of our 400!
Celebrate 400 Bugeyes sold with us! Our “400 strong” t-shirt commemorates the 400th Bugeye sold, “Lulu”, and features a map with just a few of the 400 loving homes we have sent Bugeyes to on the back. We are currently accepting pre-orders for this shirt, so order yours today by clicking here or on the photos above!
