The more one looks at this car, the more it grows on you. These Alfas have a very seductive shape (and driving does not disappoint!) It’s not surprising that GTVs have become quite valuable.
I bought this car to keep and drive, and I am so busy driving customer cars to get them ready, I have no time for the Alfa, so it’s time to send the car to a new home. We have all loved having it in our Bugeyeguy “living room.” It’s art. Each time I walk past this beauty, I have to look and admire… It’s hard not to salivate over the style and elegance of this design.

This Alfa is a delight to drive. The original Spica fuel injection works great and the car starts every time on the first try. Power is excellent, the five speed gearbox is excellent, and the car rides beautifully. There are no mechanical issues other than some small (and probably typical for the series) oil leaks. The engine was rebuilt in 2018 with very few miles added since.

Cosmetics are also excellent. Excellent interior and headliner, super tidy engine bay and trunk. One crack is present in the dashboard as shown as well as one minor flaw on the side of the seat near the driver’s seat incline adjuster. The interior is otherwise excellent.
68,619 miles are showing on the clock, which appears to be the original mileage. The third/last owner only put about 500 miles on the car. Tires are recent and were replaced by the previous owner (as they had aged-out.) Below is some general information about these cars. This one will be auctioned on the Bring a Trailer website, so don’t delay! That auction ends on November 24,2024 when this great classic will go to a new home.
Today, only the true Alfa Romeo enthusiasts know that the GT series or Tipo 105/115 was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro in his early days at Bertone. It is well known that he went on to be one of the most prolific Automotive designers of all time. Released in 1963 as the Sprint GT, the 105 carried some design cues from an earlier Giugiaro design, the 2000 Sprint. This evolution would carry forward to become one of the most successful models ever to carry the Alfa name.
This sports coupe would eventually have the letter V incorporated in the name, which would stand for Veloce; translation: fast. Known for good performance but better known for outstanding handling, the 1750GTV’s handling capabilities are due to a very rigid body structure that is evident when put to the limit in a corner. At that point, you can see daylight under the inside rear tire. The reputation of the GTV quickly spread worldwide and was soon a frequent winner in the under 2-liter class for many years in the racing world.
We purchased this car from the third owner. The second owner performed a gearbox, engine and complete mechanical restoration, as well as a glass- out repaint in the original color.
