We had a blast at the Audrain Concours d’Elegance this past weekend in Newport, Rhode Island. Below is my slideshow of favorite cars and curves… I had many favorites, but if I had to choose one, I would have to highlight the 1947 Cisitalia 202MM Aerodynamica, seen here.
On Saturday, the 50 mile tour started in heavy rain, and I had no desire to fill up 501 with water, so we skipped that event. I went to see the start in our late model Mini Cooper, and a red XK 150 stalled right next to me in a big puddle. The owner got the car running again, and the rain ended on the route so that all the cars dried off by the time they got to Bellevue Avenue for a really nice static street display.
The sun came out for Sunday, and the rest of the photos are from the show field at “The Breakers,” a stunning site for a world-class car show! Click “read more” for the full slideshow!
