Now SOLD to Gregg in Iowa! Bugeye #370 is off to the Hawkeye State!
This Frogeye called “Fuller” (AN5 47899) is a 1960 running and driving project Bugeye. This is a good looking car that was a stalled restoration when we got it, and we got it running so we could find it a new home. The foundation has been laid and Fuller now runs and drives with a new master cylinder and good brakes! The 1275 engine runs strong!
There are lots of nice newer parts already added to Fuller, such as a 1275 Engine, Rib-case transmission, new gas tank, electronic fuel pump, front sway bar and rear tube shocks. The front tires were brand new 10 years ago and have never been on the road (the stickers are still present!), so you may be able to live with those for a bit, but the rear tires are at least 25 years old and don’t hold air very well anymore. We can upgrade the tires for the new owner.
Fuller was repainted at some point years ago; the repaint was a fine job, and shows some age and a few nicks from storage. It presents nicely! The interior is also fine, and would benefit from new carpet or hardura if you prefer. Fuller comes with a top bow and side curtain cores for rebuilding. No top or tonneau, but we have new ones if you like.
The underside of this car still needs restoration. The floorpans has been patched-up over the years but should really be completely cut-out and replaced. We sell floor sheet metal parts (about $390 for a pair of floor pans) and can ship them with the car to its new home.
If you are looking for a fun project and a nice way to get into the world of Bugeyes give us a call and we can ship Fuller your way! You’ll want to do additional restoration to the floors, but with a lower entry price, Fuller is a great starter Bugeye!
