Now SOLD to Gavin in Michigan! Congratulations on a slick Spridget!
If you’ve been looking for an attractive Spridget at a very reasonable price, this MG Midget is worth serious consideration!
This four-speed 1970 Midget had its 1275 engine rebuilt in 2008. It’s nicely set-up with a single1-3/4″ SU carburetor (which is one of the nicest ways to configure these cars… I have this set-up on one of my Bugeyes). It’s also built-up with new 14 inch rims… some people really like the look; they’re 1 inch bigger diameter than the 13s that were stock. You also get nice 175 (recent) tires for great handling and grip. Its a flashy red midget in nice shape with lots of great upgrades.
Seats are nearly new, a complete and deluxe assembly (recently replaced), and very comfortable, with plush headrests. The convertible top has a nice zip-down window feature to allow you a sun shade with improved venting on hot days. There’s a lot to be said for roll-up windows, front disk brakes and sway bar, all equaling good performance!
Front disc calipers have been rebuilt, the clutch is nearly new as are the modern tapered front wheel bearings, and electronic ignition is present.
The cooling system has an add-on electric fan too! Door panels and carpet are also new. The body is excellent, with no rust and no rust blisters.
Some maintenance is needed-the clutch master is older but the car comes with a new one (it’s working fine, I would change it proactively though), and the alternator light is on, so an alternator replacement might be needed. Call to discuss, the car is here in Branford at our shop so we can do that work for the new owner if they so desire.
Call to discuss this attractive opportunity! At $11,995, here’s a ton of sports car fun for not a lot of dough!
