This is an excellent 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 MK 3 (BJ8) you can drive with confidence. Take it to British Invasion, for example (in Northern VT) this fall and know that you will be noticed on the show field! And enjoy the highway ride to and fro with the overdrive engaged! If you are unfamiliar, these four speed cars are equipped with overdrive and they are great tourers, with stunning lines!
Car number HBJ8L / 38487 is a beautiful numbers-matching car with a complete ownership history all the way back to when the car was purchased new in Florida in 1967. She has had 6 different owners since the beginning, 2 from Florida and 4 from Ohio. With the car came a brief history of the car as well as an extensive repair and maintenance history from 2013 onward, all compiled by the most recent owner who obtained the car in 2013. We can send this document via e-mail to prospective buyers upon request. This one underwent an extensive frame-out restoration that was completed by a previous owner in 2005, including use of a lot of NOS Austin-Healey dealership parts. She’s a very well-sorted 3000 and its new owner will be getting an outstanding example that runs and drives beautifully.
This is a solid car you can jump in and drive anywhere… fly into Hartford and enjoy a great adventure in this stunning sculptural classic car, in the right color (Healey blue). Tires and 60 spoke painted wheels were changed in 2013-they show very few miles, although the tires will soon be aged-out. Overdrive works, as does everything else. If you are looking for an excellent roll-up window Healey in which to tour and bring to shows, this one is for you!
Tonneau, top cover and excellent matching top included, as shown. Original tonneau bars too, in the correct original cover. Dynamat was installed under the carpet throughout the tub, for heat and noise control. An extra long dash mirror is installed for better visibility when the top is in place. And it’s a great zip-down rear window top at that. New battery, fresh oil change, ready to run!
