NOW SOLD to John in DC! Congratulations on giving this fun car a new home!
As we all know, MGBs get under your skin. My first car BEFORE my Bugeye was a 1966 MGB, so I have always loved these cars. When Vernon (who bought our bronze MGA) offered a partial trade with this car, I jumped on the opportunity, because it’s always fun to have these cars in our building, and to help create great new memories for a new owner.
This car is unique in that it spent almost 40 years with the prior owner (before Vernon), who had driven it to the University of Texas when he was a student there, and then taken it with him to California, and then on to Utah, which is where Vernon found the car a few years ago. This was always a southern dry car, and it shows, the underside is nice.
This car has been converted to a single 12 volt battery (instead of the two factory six volts which came with the car and which can be problematic). It’s also a four-speed non-overdrive car, but we can convert it to overdrive for the new owner, if so desired!
A tonneau is present but has shrunken, we could fit a new one before the car departs if the new owner so desires. The top has a zip down rear window, which is a nice feature for ventilation when the sun is high and you want some shade.
If you are looking for an iconic classic car for not a lot of dough, this car is for you!
