NOW SOLD to Bruce of New Jersey. Congratulations Bruce for giving our 335th Bugeye a new home!
Meet “Delores,” AN5L 30460, a stunning restored Bugeye that we last owned in 2017. This is a great car, and we just bought it back from Gary in Pennsylvania, who purchased the car from us in early 2017. He put 4171 miles on the car in his four years of ownership, and the car still looks great. All the photos are current, only the video is from 2017. Delores has a 948 engine, new smoothcase transmission and four wheel drum brakes, along with new minilites wheels and nearly new tires.
Above, you can see a video tour and drive of this car. This was shot about five years ago, before our rear addition was complete. By the way, check out the rear ramps we used back then to get Bugeyes up to the main level, those are two “I beams” on their sides. They worked great (now, we use a four post lift). This is a throwback to when we had a gravel back yard and gravel driveway. Now it’s paved and well oil-stained!
Anyway, before we sent Gary this car in 2017, he had us sort through the car and get it in tip-top shape. We made numerous impressive upgrades for him (which are not shown in the video). For example, we put on the new new red top shown, new side curtains, three point inertia reel seat belts, new steering wheel, larger dashboard mirror, new windshield post mirrors, new tires and Minilite wheels, hidden trickle charger, rubber footwell mats, new air snorkel, new tapered front wheel bearings, rebuilt smoothcase transmission, new cowl and windshield pad gaskets, front lowering kit, Tri-bar headlights and new headlight bezels. A spin on oil filter and electronic ignition is also present. No points!
So now we have a wonderfully sorted and Bugeye for you to enjoy. White and deep red is a stunning color combo, and on Delores, she wears those colors beautifully. Call or email if you are interested!
