“Luke” is getting a makeover! Many of you called to inquire about this car as we originally listed it, but it has too much potential for us to leave well enough alone.
So this week, we have changed the wheels and tires and ripped-out the dashboard for a clean-up and re-cover. We’ve begun the transformation of this car into a Super Sprite.
Next we’ll lower the car, install disk brakes in the front (and rear disks too?) Supercharger perhaps? If you are interested in owning a premium “over-the-top” Bugeye, (Gumby and Goldie come to mind) call to discuss the build sheet that works best for you! We are using this car as a canvas for our next sculpture. If you want a Stock Sprite, we have those too. But if you want an exceptional show-stopper, this British Racing Green stunner is going to get kicked-up a few notches in the coming weeks.
We’re just starting Luke’s transformation, so interested parties should get in touch to make this car your own! The first person to pay a deposit gets to call the shots, and we’ll work with you to tweak the build-sheet accordingly.

A 1275 engine, Rivergate Datsun five-speed conversion, and flip-forward nose (for better engine access) are already present.
Everyone loves BRG, it’s the most popular color, even though it was not original on this car, it is iconic and looks perfect on every Sprite.
Carpet is new. Seats are excellent. A good top is included. As you can see in the photo, the top does fit over the roll bar.
The wiring harness was recently replaced. K and N lifetime air filters are present. We’ve just put in a new master cylinder and aluminum slave cylinder to refresh the hydraulics.
The car last lived in Idaho and it is quite solid. The floors and underside are excellent.
The car also has an anti roll bar in front and a panhard rod stiffening the rear end. Handling is great!
Paint is excellent, close up of rear quarter is shown above so you can see just how reflective it is — like a mirror! Slick side mirrors are fit in the windshield pillars, and they work great. This is a very striking Bugeye and we look forward to upgrading it for further for a new owner!
