NOW SOLD to Lou in Oregon!!!!
Congratulations!!!
This is AN5L 39401, a Bugeye we call “The Lobster,” (because it came from Maine). The last owner enjoyed this car for the past 20 years, during which time he restored the mechanicals and made it a great driving car.

She has a strong 948 engine and drum brakes all around. The car is great fun to drive. Indicated mileage is 35,405. She is also fit with an aluminum radiator, electric cooling fan and alternator conversion, as well as an electric fuel pump.

The car is very solid -the underside is quite nice.
It came to us jumping out of gear, so we put in a brand new rebuilt smooth case transmission to rectify that issue. We also put in a new clutch while we were at it.

We also put in a new carpet kit to freshen the interior. Seats are great. A nice black tonneau is also included. The tan top is fine as shown in the photo album. Windows are also good! If you like, we can install a new red top and tonneau, for a very stunning appearance upgrade.

The vintage lacquer paint job has a really nice shine and the car has tons of curb appeal, as you can see from the photos. When you look closer, the finish is cracking in a few places, but it still has plenty of life left, and for the right customer, this is a perfect car. If you want paint perfection, this is not the car for you. But if you want to save some money and don’t mind some paint flaws, this car is a great option.

I love this car, it has the right blend of patina and shine. Give a call if you want to take this lobster home!
