What to do on the road? Call roadside assistance! We recommend one of the “plus” services that provides at least 100 miles of free towing. It’s always safest to get off the road as soon as possible, and even to ask a passing motorist to help push you out of harm’s way if needed before a flat bed arrives. If you insist on roadside jacking, best to carry in the car an inexpensive scissors jack that will lift the car in the locations shown in the video below.
