How do you make a little Bugeye seem even smaller? Shoot it from 3000 feet high with a backdrop of wide open spaces and giant Rocky Mountains! Thanks to Tom K for this cool Rocky Mountain drone video above!
Here in New England, our sense of scale is completed warped, with tight spaces and backroads that are congested in comparison to the Idaho wilderness outside of Sun Valley, where this was filmed. Out there, you have plenty of room for your drone. Here, it would hit the first telephone line and crash before you got out of first gear!
This is a great Bugeye you might recall from our site called “Willis,” a stunning 1275 example that previously lived with a customer of ours in Connecticut. We then sold Wilis to Phil in Florida, and now he lives with Tom and Lynn in Ketchum, Idaho. Here’s Willis being loaded at our shop for the trip to Idaho in an enclosed tandem trailer, on his way to mountain stardom.
