While we can’t guarantee that your new Bugeye will attract this many members of the opposite sex, tenor Dimitri Pittas demonstrates at left that the car (or maybe his singing) works pretty well.
We met Dimitri a few weeks ago when he shared some pictures of his Opera performances in “The Elixir of Love,” by Donizetti, in which he is a singing mechanic who sings to win the heart of his beloved. He has been performing on stage with the pictured red stage Spridget since 2009, and finally decided to give himself his own real-life Bugeye (below) which he could actually drive and enjoy.
The Midget with Bugeye nose he has been driving on stage only has casters and a styrofoam 948 engine (that’s the engine with the black valve cover pictured beneath the video below), so he has visited our shop and purchased an actual running and driving Bugeye called Cherry. And thus we were lucky to hear live what is possible when a great tenor gets his hands on a car he loves!
Congratulations Dimitri, and thank you for sharing this great story and demonstrating that the Bugeye Sprite is in fact the ultimate elixir!
