You just have to love a simple, tiny sports car that can also accommodate a 6’3″ tall person. Bugeyes don’t discriminate! A smaller than stock steering wheel helps accommodate knee clearance. But Bugeyes are surprisingly roomy!
You may remember Rick who drove more than 4000 miles cross country in Abby (see rick and abby’s cross country adventure in the right margin). Rick is 6’2″ and he famously said that getting into his Bugeye was like putting on your favorite pair of boots… a bit tight going on but really comfortable once you’re in!
We have also fit 5’1″ a driver in her Bugeye, by re-mounting the seat rails further forward so the seat would go further forward, and for short and tall partners who both drive, we have made custom lengthened seat rails that run a bigger span to allow more forward and full aft.
