Way to go Glenn! Congratulations and this car will soon be headed to you in Southern California!
I’ve added a fun new driving video below for this car, check it out!
Here’s a wonderful restored 1960 Bugeye we call “Red.” (AN5L 23380)
I first saw this Bugeye a few year ago and it was immaculate, the subject of a multi-year restoration. So when it came up for sale this year, I remembered the car with it’s distinctive red lips and jumped on it.
She was most recently owned by a nice gentleman in the midwest who lavished the best on this car. Condition is excellent. Red is a completely stock Bugeye with a strong 948 engine, drum brakes and an excellent paint job. She shows 22,914 miles and is in great order, everything works and this car is ready for you to enjoy this summer. She has a great top and side curtains, as well as a custom off-white tonneau with a matching red stripe. Minilight wheels are shod with 175/70 wider tires for better performance. Also handsome is a Moto-lita wood steering wheel.
Unique on red are the excellent leather seats. Many people think Bugeyes came with leather, but for $1,795 new, vinyl was what you got, and the leather is usually only present when you had a particularly passionate or generous restorer. The custom tonneau is also leather… this is something I have never seen… they too are always vinyl. Another nice touch is the windshield pillar side mirror so no holes were needed in the fenders. The mirror comes off easily by loosening a set screw so the side curtains can be installed.
I love the red grill because it works on the car and is yet another example of how this little cars can be made unique. But if you don’t like the red grill, we always have new chrome ones in stock.
This is a great rust free Bugeye with new floors! Call or email for pricing!
